St. Nilus (Neilos), who wrote this, was not the "old" St. Nilus but a monk with the same name on Mount Athos many centuries later. He died 12.11.1651 and was buried in his own cave. His relics poured myrrh, which fell 100 meters down to the see. Until this day people go there to see the place. He is well known in Greece and the Orthodox world as also his prophecy.
